An Interview with Morgan Bhairi
What are the key elements to being successful?
First and foremost, be authentic to yourself and who you are. I also think it’s essential that students learn certain elements of philosophy (the love of wisdom) as part of their growth journey. Without the love of wisdom we can blind ourselves to certain aspects of our power that can get in the way of success.
An understanding of the non-duality of life and the power of a centered yoga practice is something that every leader and healer should cultivate. This fosters a sense of surrender and the ability to operate from a “yes and” mindset, rather than a sense of control or grasping.
What are some things you love?
I love power, money, success, and strong leadership. I love saying yes to my goals and no to distraction. I love teaching others how to get stronger, physically, mentally and emotionally. I love wisdom and emotional maturity. I love being alive and it shows.
Why is physical fitness important to personal growth?
When your body is strong you’re able to do more, feel more, and live more. Wisdom includes the gifts of the body along with the mind. Alignment and strength of the body makes it easier for the mind to perform at its optimal level. This is why I make yoga asana practice a part of many of my client’s routine.
What do you struggle with and how do you manage it?
I don’t struggle. I flow, I reorganize, and I tear obstacles apart. Organizing your life in such a way that the world and you synergize and harmonize is how we thrive independently and in community. Stop struggling and start thriving. Be your best self. Realize that the process of growth is part of the fun—that there is no struggle. There’s fun, there’s play, there’s learning, there’s heroism, and there is the change that you're looking for.
What changes have you helped your students create in their lives?
My clients grow quickly and they stay strong. They find the love for themselves, others, and the world that they dream of. My clients grow in their careers and they prosper because they learn to adapt to change and hold strong in their personal identity. They value themselves highly and that changes how other people see them. The find themselves—their true selves and that is one of the greatest gifts I can offer.
Where did you study?
While I believe life is one of the greatest teachers of all, I grew in my understanding of philosophy and psychology at UW Madison at the graduate level and the University of California, San Diego.
I’ve also been educated by many religious teachers, shaman, herbalists, medicine women, master yogis and gurus while traveling through the US and abroad. The holistic nature of my education shows in what I teach and how and the benefits speak for themselves.
Why are you different?
One of my biggest strengths is my adaptability and understanding of biomechanics and psychology that I got from my university education in moral psychology and philosophy and through my own healing journey, and having been initiated as a shamanic healer in multiple lineages. I have the ability to marry theoretical knowledge, lived experience, biomechanics, psychology, and spirituality and weave it seamlessly into a fun learning journey for students of all ability levels. This allows me to change modify easily to fit the requirements and abilities of the class or private student.
Why do your clients love you?
I treat my clients like the best version of themselves is already there within them. They see that reflected back and they live up to it. They continually impress themselves with what they’re able to do.
What’s your favorite flower and why?
The rose is one of my favorite flowers. The rose teaches a valuable lesson about life and love. Try to grasp it without respect and reflection and it will teach you a valuable lesson in pain and maybe even blood. Do the same thing in life and love and you get very similar results. However, if you love the rose it will love you back. Care for a rose bush well and it will flourish and fill your garden with the sweetest smell and unparalleled beauty.
What’s your favorite animal and why?
I love crows. The crow is one of the animals that connects me to the earth and represents an aspect of my essence that I love. Crows love pretty things, are incredibly intelligent, value kindness and are highly capable at adapting to change. They also represent the link between the physical and spiritual world and transmutation of energy which I teach many of my clients to create in their lives.
Where are you from?
Currently commuting from beautiful San Pedro, California.
I was born and raised in San Clemente and the Pacific Ocean has been a great influence on me and my mindset. I’ve done many a mediation at the water and volunteered with the Surfrider Foundation when I was growing up. Our oceans are great and I hope we keep them that way by caring for and protecting their beauty.
My ancestry traces back to Italy, Ireland, and Scotland and I have a great respect for my bloodline. We are born strong and have a fierce love for the earth, nature and life itself. We are great champions of beauty and we teach others through our actions as well as word. Our word carries weight as we speak with honor, honesty, and clarity.
